1. Geometry first

We calculate area or volume from the dimensions entered. Unit conversions are performed before material factors are applied.

2. Material assumptions

Weight estimates use representative bulk densities. Actual density can vary with product type, gradation, moisture, compaction, and supplier specifications.

3. Waste and rounding

Waste allowances are optional and visible. Results are not silently rounded into a purchase quantity; users should round up to the supplier’s available bag, pallet, truck, or delivery increment.

4. Verification

Worked examples are tested against independent calculations. Calculator changes are checked in desktop and mobile layouts before publication.
